If you have learned it, then its a question of timing, you hit the dodge button while your character is passing through the orb, you don't have to bounce off the top. If you're in the middle of the orb and hit it you'll still bounce up, so its better to hit the button too late rather than too early. Maybe practice hopping up on a single orb to get the timing down.
